Since 2008, MVP has tracked the club’s top hitter of the season and rookies who hit and drink like a veteran. In the 2020s, MVP expanded its recognition, democratically, to include some love for the top player, pitcher, and defenders each season.
In 2022, MVP introduced the John “One-Leg” Merrill Teammate of the Year Award, the DSSL’s Walter Payton equivalent.
