- 2025: Tom Brady, RF
First introduced before the 2022 season, MVP’s MVP became one of the most respected awards in the team’s history, given it’s one of the very few decided by the clubhouse. While many former MVP stars would’ve easily made this list, Loesch’s preference for autocracy prevented the people’s voice from being heard.
Season Results
2022
- 12 Votes: Alex Bettenhauser, CF (MVP)
- 6 Votes: Nick Rizzi, LF
- 1 Vote: Jon Rich, P & Shane White, 3B
Bettenhauser led MVP in homers (3), extra base hits (14), and runs (25) en route to leading MVP back atop the DSSL world as a first-year GM. Hitting behind him was Nick Rizzi, who, after watching old YouTube videos of Tom Loesch’s hitting tutorials, led MVP in hits and finished second in hitting with a .755 BA.
2023
- 9 Votes: Alex Bettenhauser, CF (MVP)
- 4 Votes: Everett Wehr, LF
- 1 Vote: Jon Rich, P
Bettenhauser collected a record third batting title after posting a .766 BA with a then franchise-high 36 hits and 26 runs. Diriving him in, most of the time, was second-year outfielder, Everett Wehr, who bursted onto the scene following a bold triple crown proclamation the offseason leading up to 2023; he’d take home the HR (6) and RBI (25) titles and become the first to score and drive home 20+ runs in a season. Rounding out the vote was newly-appointed ace, Jon Rich. Jon earned the “Shohei” part of his beloved nickname after becoming MVP’s first primary pitcher to hit above .700 (.733).
2024
- 7 Votes: Nick Bettenhauser, 2B (MVP)
- 1 Vote: Kyle Baylous, SS & Alex Bettenhauser, CF
Munchie won his first MVP with the largest margin of victory for a candidate, taking home his second batting title; he hit a career-high .767 season with a team-high 23 knocks. In addition to leading MVP’s lineup, he also acted as the interim GM on multiple occasions, showing off the dual threat as player-coach.
2025
- 7 Votes: Tom Brady, RF (MVP)
- 5 Votes: Alex Bettenhauser, CF
- 1 Vote: Nick Bettenhauser, 2B
Generally considered the best offensive season for any individual hitter, Tom’s .759 was an afterthought, scoring 33 runs and driving home 40 – both MVP records – and powered his way to 8 HRs. Right on his heels was the Alex, who added his fourth batting title in 2025, obliterating MVP’s single season BA record, hitting .872 with 41 hits. The defending MVP, Munchie, broke the hit record (43), underscoring just how impressive Brady’s campaign truly was.
