Est. 2008 | Home of 6x DSSL Champs

Only one award has existed since MVP’s inception, the illustrious batting title.

In 18 seasons, only 11 players have their name etched into MVP history, and of the 11, only four (4) have won the award multiple times:

  • Alex Bettenhauser, 4x (2018-2019, 2023, 2025)
  • Nick Bettenhauser, 2x (2021 & 2024)
  • John Cirincione, 2x (2014 & 2017)
  • Dave Wynkoop, 2x (2008 & 2011)

The award has not come without its fair share of controversy; sparking debates across the clubhouse on a viable minimum after a few players were stiffed by the then 12 at-bat minimum from 2008-2022. From then on, 21 was deemed sufficient to qualify an MVP slugger for the title.

Four (4) batting champs are on MVP’s current roster (2026: Bettenhauser(s), Cirincione, Tom Loesch).
