Est. 2008 | Home of 6x DSSL Champs

Rome wasn’t built in a day, so we’ve heard. The same can be said for a great softball team, and the Breaking Balls are improving each week. MVP, however, reaped the benefits of a rare off-week for the BBs, both defensively and offensively. With contributions from every corner of the lineup, MVP put this 4th of July game in cruise control from the first inning on.

Player of the Game

Donnie | 5-5, 3 Runs, 6 RBIs, 2B, & 2-Run HR

Game Highlights

  • MVP Royalty: Brady (4-5, HR, 4 Runs, & 6 RBIs) reaches 20/20 Club, joining GM (’25) & Ev (’23)
  • Batting Champs Locked In: GM, Munchie, & Cirincione tally 5 hits each
  • Dual Threat: Jewish Shohei secures 6th win and joins triples lead (5) with pair of 3Bs
  • Rover, Rover: Biemer collects 4 hits, 4 RBIs, & 3 Runs while covering half the outfield

And, finally, there’s the Curious Case of Dr. Baylous, who told our on-field MVP Insider:

“I did not have being the worst hitter on my bingo card this year.”

Captain KB

While Kyle’s recent slump has made him seem more Mr. Gengler than Dr. Baylous, Matty still holds on, clinging to a team-low .353 average. Hug your brother, Kyle, and we love you, Matty. In an effort to stir the pot further, the Captain will lead off the lineup next Sunday in MVP’s showdown against the formidable Stoners, who enter with a winning record (4-3) in July for the first time in history.
