Est. 2008 | Home of 6x DSSL Champs

After narrowly securing their second-consecutive championship by the skin of their teeth, or rather, the hair on their ass, the perennial powerhouse MVP has had a rather uneventful offseason. Despite initial considerations to reload the already stacked roster, the GM has decided to take a docile approach for 2024 with Zach White slated to handle the on-field logistics, giving him time to focus more on his chase to eclipse the untouched .800 mark. Of course, this decision was made with the GM’s signature dickishness, as some things in life are as certain as death and taxes. When asked about this shift amidst MVP’s most dominant run in league history, he went on to say this:

“Zach has all the tools to navigate the peaks & valleys of a demanding, but talented Sunday softball team. He has proven to be an incredible asset in the clubhouse since joining two seasons ago and his diplomatic ways are surely due in large part to his experience playing for multiple clubs.

GM

With the season opener against the Boys looming, Zach has his work cut out for him, but he won’t be doing it alone. MVP’s Interim GM for Opening Day will be Munchie. He has made it abundantly clear he has no interest whatsoever to become MVP’s GM, but appreciates the vote of confidence by management.

While the movements in management occurred, MVP lost a pair of outfielders they have grown accustomed to seeing over the years; one of which crossed enemy lines to go be the second-best outfielder elsewhere and Nick Rizzi has taken a role on MVP’s taxi squad while he lives in Manhattan. This situation could have been far worse for MVP had the GM not secured Tom Brady as a full-timer and had Everett Wehr not enjoyed the speediest of recoveries following a broken leg late last summer.

Everett’s recovery comes just in the nick of time has he, along with some pillars in MVP’s lineup, look to secure their first career batting title. Pat Biemer, Jon Rich, & Tom Brady round out the list of those scratching at the door to join the highly coveted club while members such a John Cirincione (2014 & 2017), Munchie (2021), & Ryan James (2022) are looking to find their groove to get back atop the MVP mountain.

MVP is eager to get back on the field for the chance to win the league’s first three-peat since the Bagas (2016-18).
