Round 1 of the playoffs was nothing more than a formality as the Cream Team showed up with seven, leaving MVP players to play against themselves. There’s not much more to it other than that.
On to Round 2.
It has been 4 years since these two stories foes have faced in the postseason. In that matchup MVP walked away with a win and the club’s first championship since 2012. While that team did contain a lot of familiar faces, it’s clear the bellies have gotten bigger, the beards bushier, and the batting averages are higher as many have come into the inception of their peak softball form.
Simply put, this game is the biggest of the year and the best is yet to come.
