- Ev votes for himself twice, still loses MVP
- MVP to play Cream Team; Batting Title Ceremony to be held Sunday
- Some good news
- Mike Donegan
Awards are a rather trivial thing, aren’t they? Not to Everett Wehr. During the voting period, he casted two (2) ballots to vote for himself as MVP. It is unclear whether Everett realized there was a preliminary question to record respondent’s emails, but he proceeded nonetheless.
Speaking of young people not knowing how things work, the Cream Team have pulled the short straw and will play MVP in the 1st round on Sunday. Hopefully last week’s near fiasco against the Stoners made most of MVP realize they are not invincible.
In addition to playing a game on Sunday, pregame festivities will include the annual passing of the batting tile from last year’s winner, Ryan James, to this year’s winner, Alex Bettenhauser. Ryan has yet to acknowledge the GM’s efforts to coordinate the ceremony likely because he is equal parts angry and worried about what the GM has in mind as this situation is really his worst nightmare coming to fruition.
In other batting-related news, the GM has heard complaints loud and clear about the conditions of the bats. While nobody on the team has made any effort to remedy the situation by buying/bringing bats, besides Cirincione and Keith, the GM still wants what is in the best interest of the club. That being said, the Easton Ronin will be purchased today ahead of the playoffs. If the bat is destroyed because people don’t know how to hit, they will buy a new one. Simply put, a hunter never blames his bow. So stop your bitching.
You know the drill – Michael, are you coming?
