Late Thursday night at Baseball Heaven, the Bagas and some MVP stars teamed up to take on another team whose name I forgot. Regardless, one player stood out to Jon Raimondo, one of the Bagas top stars and apparently, acting head scout.

This young outfielder ran like hell, launched a ball into the summer night, and made an unbelievable play at the left-field wall. This same outfielder also displayed astute instincts defensively, attempting to throw out some lackadaisical base runners at all bases, including 1st when up by around 20 runs.

At some point during the game, Jon approached young Everett Wehr and asked what he does with his Sunday mornings. The rookie had a response that would have Tom Loesch jumping for joy.

His response?

“Playing for MVP.”

It was at this point that the GM got wind of what was going on as Jon immediately stared at him, realizing how relentless the new MVP GM can truly be. Although he knows better than to go anywhere else, Everett decided to take the Bagas’ newfound interest in his services as a bargaining chip to get a better deal.

It worked.

MVP is officially announcing the signing of Everett Wehr to a 4yr/$18M deal. MVP will be using part of Ryan James’ annual salary of $15M to pay Everett because he failed to reach a milestone number of games to keep his salary binding. Everett hit .463 with 7 doubles in his rookie campaign, but shined when the lights were the brightest, hitting .750 while leading MVP in both SLUG. and OPS. during the postseason. He is expected to be a cornerstone in MVP’s incomparable outfield and management likes what they see.

Former GM, Tom Loesch, believes that Everett has the makings of being a batting title contender as early as next season even going as far to ask the GM if he had a shot in 2021. He didn’t, but the bones are good offensively. Current management is equally excited and is more intrigued by having another elite outfielder to play the revolving door that is left field.
