Courtesy of the MVP Tip Line, an anonymous source, who is clearly literate, so Rich and Muscles are excluded, sent in a message regarding the GM, Alex Bettenhauser, and Captain, Kyle Baylous, having a off-field partnership that goes beyond softball.
So what was said?
This source claims that the GM and Captain have been seen crossing streams and having sword fights, while the former is true, the latter is still very much unclear. Regardless, it appears this has caused some uneasiness amongst the rest of the locker room and even more so with a 12-man lineup likely to be implemented ahead of next Sunday’s semi-finals rematch with the Boys.
Do MVP players have to worry about their place in the lineup as a result of this rumors?
Absolutely not.
Baylous was still very much going to be in the lineup (hitting .531 in the regular season, top 10 on the team) AND his 3 hits in the first round is more than many MVP players combined. The GM himself added 4. So for those who can count that’s 7. Pretty good stuff to have an .875 average from the top of the order.
For those concerned about their spot and using this as an excuse, it’s probably because you have underwhelmed management at hitting a huge yellow ball moving 30 mph all season long.
But I digress.
That being said, the integrity of the lineup is still very much in tact and rest assured, the Captain will be sliding back to his usual spot in the order upon the return of our batting champion, Ryan James, hits leader, Nick Rizzi, and HR’s constant headache, Joe Sorrentino. Tom Brady’s ability to hit the ball passed the pitcher will also effect Kyle’s positioning in the lineup which the SABR metrics department guarantees will be the case by next week.
The GM will continue to hit lead-off because he’s the boss and answers to critics, so you’ll have to deal with that. He also gave 13 MVP players the opportunity to speak up regarding a tighter lineup OR a “fun” lineup where 17 guys come and hit and nobody said shit, so shut the fuck up about the lineup length or go play for Sizzlin’ next year, they are desperate for whiny bitches or anybody for that matter.
Yeah, I cursed, deal with it.
We here at MVP are very, very supportive of the LGBTQIA+ (and whatever other letters they claimed during the conception of this blog) community. While our Captain has had his fair share of run-ins with this minority group, converting one woman to the other side, the GM and Captain are not an item, unfortunately.
Unless…
