For the 2nd week in a row, it has been noted that MVP is using illegitimate pinch runners.
While this is probably true, it has only been noted twice. Once with Kyle Baylous at the helm, the other being under the incumbent GM, Alex Bettenhauser.
It appears following the MVP victory over the Bullworms, Bullworms GM, Luke Donnelly, another known nice guy, was quite upset about Baylous’ illegal use of team speedster Mike “Speedy Gonzalez” Donegan in a pinch-running opportunity. Everyone and their mother knows that Kyle clearly was not the criminal mastermind behind all this as it was likely an ill-advised suggestion from former GM, Tom Loesch, in an attempt to overthrow his thriving successor.
Tom clearly tried to undermine Bettenhauser through his number 2 while the GM eagerly awaited the House of Commons vote for Prime Minister. Unsuccessful, Bettenhauser re-assumed control of the Brew Crew.
However, Loesch was not done trying to sabotage.
When Tom realized that throwing the Boys game by serving up meatballs to a trio of massive left-handed hitters was not working, he resorted to making the GM look bad.
Following a double from John “One-Leg” Merrill, Mike Donegan sprinted out of the dugout and appeared on second base. The Boys’ catcher was quick to call out MVP for cheating as they appeared to have been forewarned by an anonymous Bullworms player ahead of Sunday’s match-up regarding this exact situation.
Meanwhile, the GM stood at third base, book in hand, trying to figure out what was going on. After clearing things up with Jono, another good guy, it was clear that Tom Loesch was attempting to give the Boys “a taste of their own medicine” as Loesch put it all the while making the current GM look bad.
While it has been resolved, the GM did make a comment to the press early this week,
“We had a miscommunication from the dugout because the book was out with me at third base. As for last week, we will have some internal conversations to address Tom Loesch’s Jerry West-like inability to relinquish control of the organization.”
GM, maybe
