Early Friday morning, the Milwaukee Brewers announced their new city connect jerseys with ‘Brew Crew’ across their chest. This has been viewed as nothing short of a slap in the face to MVP who have been going by the “Brew Crew” nickname for years.

While the uniforms are great, the use of both MVP’s nickname AND powder blue is enough for In-House Council to file for trademark infringement.

Milwaukee’s Unveiled ‘Brew Crew’ Jerseys

This, however, is not the first time that MVP and the Milwaukee Brewers have had a legal run-in as the Brewers did file a suit against MVP over their new logo. A lawsuit that Milwaukee won comfortably and cost Tom Loesch his hair.

Speculations are the Brewers have done this out of spite towards MVP. However, in an effort to reduce tensions, MVP has offered Ryan James to the Brewers to pull the jersey from circulation. Brewers’ GM, Matt Arnold, audibly laughed at MVP’s GM for trying to sell off what he called a ‘Dollar-Tree Kyle Baylous’ and only caused more animosity amongst the 2 organizations.

The GM has declined to comment on this as it is an ongoing investigation, but did go on to say,

“We are focused on our big Father’s Day match-up against Sizzlin and are even more focused on a successful post-game barbecue. “

The GM also mentioned that Ryan James “thinks” he’ll attend Sunday’s game. How the shortstop will respond to both the media and leaked trade offer are to be determined. (DEVELOPING…)
