Synopsis of the start of the game?
Tom Brady does not show up and his 3 year wait for a return waits another week.
Here’s Tom Loesch‘s (4-4, 2 Runs, 3 RBIs) on innings 1-3:
“Looks like we’re playing in a 6th grade girls basketball game; no score”.
Tom Loesch on MVP’s blazing start against the Dugouts
After the Dugouts put on 2 in the bottom of the 3rd, MVP found themselves down 2-0, in classic fashion.
In the top of the 4th, MVP got things going as a 6-run rally started off by One-Leg (2-4, 1 Run, 1 RBI) and followed by a string of singles gave MVP a 6-2 lead after 4.
The Dugouts responded with 2 of their own in the bottom of the fifth as MVP found themselves in another tight game as they entered the 6th leading 6-4.
MVP tacked on an insurance run as Rizz (3-4, 2 Runs, 2 RBIs) was driven in on a Meat Cannon (1-3, 2 Runs, 2 RBIs) sac fly, taking a 7-4 lead.
MVP would give up 2 in the bottom of the 7th as the GM was bested by a deep fly ball by a guy wearing a headband and wrist tape.
Was it a good look? No, but we carry on.
MVP responded by scoring 1 in the 8th and another 5 in the 9th as Kev Cutinella (1-4. 1 Run, 2 RBIs) delivered the final blow with a 2-run single to give MVP a 12-6 lead. Pat (3-4, 1 Run, 1 RBI) added one more to ensure all things would be in order for MVP in the bottom of the 9th.
Loesch, as always, closed out the game and MVP walks away with a 13-6 victory and a very successful post-game barbecue.
